Andreas Schmid Group opens new Air & Sea office in Prague
Gersthofen, 30 September 2026. The Andreas Schmid Group is strengthening its presence in the Czech Republic: A new Air & Sea office has opened in Prague and has been fully operational since September 2026. From this location, the team develops international air and sea freight solutions while also supporting collaboration across the Group.
The Andreas Schmid Group had already significantly expanded its activities in the Czech Republic with the acquisition of the Czech logistics company Karnool s.r.o. in August 2024. The new office in Prague marks another step towards further strengthening the Group’s position in Central and Eastern Europe.
International air and sea freight from Prague
Václav Svoboda and Lukáš Kostecký head the Air & Sea team. The focus is on tailor-made solutions for international transport, ranging from time-critical shipments and dangerous goods to project cargo and hand-carry services. This adds further air and sea freight expertise to the Andreas Schmid Group’s existing operations in the Czech Republic.
Prague offers favourable conditions for these activities: The Czech capital lies at the crossroads of Western and Eastern Europe, provides convenient connections to key European gateways and offers access to markets across Central and Eastern Europe. The new office is located just a few minutes from Prague Airport, providing direct access to international air transport and logistics networks.
